It has now been five days since my left mastectomy and I wanted to let you know what a joy it was to have the bodycasting session with my girlfriends prior to surgery.

The instructions were really clear and the body balm gorgeous! The letter was beautiful and I have kept it in my journal as a reminder that this journey is one in which I get to meet amazingly caring people, it was really thoughtful, thank you. The packaging was really special and we were all blown away at how beautifully presented it was, there was a real sense of care in how the package was put together in the little kete.

We had wine and nibbles, took gorgeous photos and talked endlessly at the contribution "our girls" had made to nurturing our children and partners, giving us anatomical shape and generally being a beautiful part of the female form.

There were tears and laughter for a whole afternoon and I cannot tell you how incredibly powerful the process was emotionally. Thank you for the opportunity to capture for posterity "my girls" together. I wish you every success.

Gillian, Sunday was a wonderfully enriching, empowering and healing experience, for ALL of us! I cannot thank you enough.

It was a small gathering of trusted friends (& dogs), and (surprise), a beautiful day in Wellington! (I am from the Far North, and have not-yet stopped grumping about Wellington weather!)

We were able to gather on the back deck and garden, and we sat Tracy on the "throne."

With a variety of powerfully strong women"s music blaring out our intent, we celebrated.

We all played a part in the "quality control" of the casting, and it turned out beautiful.

Tracy and her breasts were suitably honoured.

Her surgery is Thursday, so the timing was perfect.

Again Gillian, thank you soo much for your part in this. The service you provided, in such a tasteful and sensitive manner, allowed us to weave wonderful magic.
